A spokesman for his family said PROFESSOR Stephen Hawking has died at the age of 76.
He passed on peacefully at his home in Cambridge in the first hours of Wed, his family said.
The Briton was known for his use black openings and relativity and had written several popular technology books including A BRIEF OVERVIEW of Time.
At age 22 Prof Hawking was presented with just a few years to reside after being identified as having an unusual form of electric motor neuron disease.

The illness kept him in a wheelchair and mainly struggling to speak except through the voice synthesizer.
In an affirmation, his children, Lucy, Robert, and Tim, said: “We could deeply sadden our beloved father passed on today.

They praised his “courage and persistence” and said his “brilliance and humor” motivated people around the world.
“He once said, ‘It wouldn’t normally be a lot of a world if it wasn’t home to the people you like.’ We will miss him permanently.”
Prof Hawking was the first ever to lay out a theory of cosmology as a union of relativity and quantum technicians.
He also learned that black openings drip energy and fade to nothing at all – a sensation that could later become known as Hawking rays.
Through his use mathematician Sir Roger Penrose he confirmed that Einstein’s Standard Theory of Relativity indicates space and time could have a from the best Bang and a finish in black openings.
The scientist gained the reputation outside the educational world and made an appearance in several Shows like the Simpsons, Red Dwarf plus the Big Bang Theory.
